Details Every Premium Kitchen Cleaner Should Handle | What to Expect from a Premium Cleaning Service: Kitchen Edition

October 22, 2025

If you’re paying premium rates for professional cleaning, you deserve more than just the basics. A quick wipe-down and sweep won’t cut it when you’re investing in top-level service. A truly premium cleaning goes beyond the surface and focuses on details that make your kitchen feel spotless, fresh, and cared for. Afterall, paying premium rates for cleaning, you should expect more than something you and your family could do in a few hours. Premium service is all about the details—the overlooked spots {the ones you see on the way out the door, and think – man I really have to get that} that transform your home from “mostly clean” to fresh, polished, and truly cared for. If you’re investing in a professional service, your cleaner should handle the little things that make a big difference in how your space looks and feels.

Here’s what your cleaner should be doing in the kitchen when you’re paying for premium service:

1. Toaster & Small Appliance Care

Your toaster and other small appliances should never be ignored. Premium service means your cleaner will:

  • Wipe down the outside to remove fingerprints, crumbs, and grease.
  • Empty the crumb tray so nothing is left to attract pests.
  • Clean the counter area around it where crumbs tend to collect.

When this is done and even the little details in your kitchen sparkle, you have a different mindset and feeling about yourself and it helps start, or end the day right!

2. Counter Fronts, Edges, and Backslashes

Premium cleaning doesn’t stop at the countertop surface. Your cleaner should also:

  • Wipe down the front edges where hands and spills often land.
  • Clean backsplashes and corners where grease splatters build up.
  • Make sure every surface feels smooth and fresh.

Yes this means that your cleaner will lift up or move EVERYTHING wipe or sanitize and then replace it back where you had it! This level of detail makes your kitchen feel brand new.

3. Chair Legs & Undersides

If crumbs, dust, and sticky spots are left behind on chair legs, it takes away from the rest of the clean. A premium cleaning should include:What your cleaner should be cleaning in your kitchen

  • Wiping down chair legs and bases.
  • Checking underneath for food crumbs or spills.
  • Making sure every part of your dining set looks cared for.

Your kitchen should look and feel complete, this includes sauce splashes on chair legs —not just clean where it’s most visible. The reality is pictured here for you, if your set up allows your chairs should be brought up, or at least completely moved away to clean properly!

4. Garbage Can Refresh

Garbage cans are often overlooked in basic cleaning, but in a premium service, they should be refreshed most every visit:

  • Wiping down the outside of the can.
  • Sanitizing the lid, handle, and foot pedal.
  • Replacing liners so it’s ready to go.

If this step is skipped it can make the room look and feel like it’s not been cleaned or care for in way too long! Also the small detail keeps odors away and leaves your kitchen feeling fresh.

5. Minor Organization

You don’t always have time to completely reset your kitchen every night or right before your cleaner comes. By the way cleaners don’t expect or hope that you do so, we are here to make your life easier, not the other way around! Premium service should leave your kitchen looking not only clean but put together. This includes:

  • Straightening items on counters, like canisters, butter containers, small appliances or utensil jars.
  • Organizing dish towels, oven mitts, or any small piles that collect.
  • Leaving the space polished and intentional—not just scrubbed and sanitized.

Let’s be honest you can sanitize your kitchen just fine and I’m sure you do between cleans. But it’s the finishing touches of a premium clean that takes your kitchen from clean to showcase-ready.

How to know If You’re Getting a Premium Cleaning Service & Tips for hiring a cleaner:

If you’re paying for premium cleaning, your cleaner should be focused on details that elevate the space, not just the basics. From your toaster to your garbage can, every area of your kitchen should look and feel refreshed. Premium rates should always equal premium results, if they don’t please talk to your cleaner (even if it is me, I’m human).

When you walk into your kitchen after a cleaning, you should immediately notice the difference—clean, organized, and cared for in every corner.

I would love to connect with you on Facebook or Instagram if that’s more your thing, DM me what you think your kitchen cleaner could or is missing, or tell me what’s stressing you out in your kitchen Right Now! I would love to help!

How Cleaning Helped Me Build a Life I Love

October 8, 2025

I was originally going to title this post Why I Chose a Cleaning Business — And Why It Never Feels Like Work, because I did and it doesn’t feel like work — Most days, I’m just getting through life like the rest of us — doing what needs to be done, chasing peace in the middle of the mess, and somehow calling it “work.” But the truth is, I’ve found something I actually enjoy doing, and that’s a blessing in itself.

My grandma always said, “Life is what you make it,” and I think she was right. I never expected to find purpose in cleaning {like 24/7}, but here I am — building a life around it, finding meaning in the mess, and helping others breathe a little easier in their own homes.

My Journey to Becoming a Cleaner

I didn’t grow up thinking I’d own a cleaning business, but in 2009 I started cleaning my aunt’s very large home. She had always had a house cleaner and hers moved on just as I was visiting with her one day! I did it with my mom for a short time, then I branched off on my own, adding a few clients through word of mouth. One thing led to another, aka: LIFE and years had passed, over the  time I wore a lot of hats, but nothing ever felt quite right except when I was cleaning professionally.

Why I Chose a Cleaning Business — And Why It Never Feels Like Work

Honestly, I didn’t sit down one day and decide to build a cleaning business. It kind of happened to me — or maybe for me. Looking back, it’s like all the pieces just fell into place, almost by accident. I was supposed to keep working my online business and just do the cleaning on the side, but I believe God was guiding me, even when I couldn’t see it.

The right people showed up. The right opportunities came. It didn’t always make sense at the time, but now I know it wasn’t an accident. It was guided and then I became intentional and naturally, it grew.

Slowly. Organically. Honestly. And I’m in love with it!!!

Why Cleaning Works for Me (and Brings Me Peace)

🧼 1. I never feel like I’m working, EVER!

I know that might sound crazy to some people, but cleaning is peaceful for me. It gives me structure and focus, and there’s something deeply satisfying about walking away from a job knowing I made someone’s life a little more peaceful.

🔄 2. Life is always messy — therefore, I’ll always be needed.

There will always be dirt, dust, dog hair, and dishes — and people will always need help. That gives me job security, yes, but also purpose. I’m not just cleaning — I’m serving! As I clean I always like to ponder on how my clients really LIVE in their homes, and how I help them do that, because their house work is less of a burden. I’m lifting a little bit of weight off someone else’s shoulders.

💛 3. I get to create clean spaces — therefore, I’m inspiring lives.

Whether it’s a busy mom who can finally breathe walking out the door, a business owner who doesn’t have time, or someone walking through a hard season… I get to bring peace into people’s homes. That matters to me.

What I’ve Learned from Cleaning & Serving Others

I’ve learned that cleaning is never just about the floors or countertops.

It’s about how people feel in their homes. It’s about energy, mental health, self-worth, and relief.

I’ve learned that a clean space can change someone’s mood. It can reduce stress. It can even heal, I know it’s healed me and my life.

I’ve also learned that I don’t need to follow someone else’s path. I don’t have to chase a job title or a corner office to have a meaningful career. I just need to do the work I was meant for — and do it well. If I’m putting my name on it, it will be done well!

Build a Life That Fits You

As you read this I hope you found encouragement, if you’re out there trying to figure out your next move feeling like you’re behind… or you’re working a job you hate just to survive — I see you.

I was there once. And I’m still figuring it out every day (possibly more on that in another post). But what I know now is this: You’re allowed to build a life on your terms — one that feels good, not just looks good; and you deserve it.

It might not look like anyone else’s. It might be quiet and simple. But it can be full of purpose.

Life really is what you make it. So why not make it something you love?

At the end of the day, cleaning has taught me that peace and purpose can come from simple routines, and that a meaningful life doesn’t have to be complicated.

I would love to hear in the comments why you chose, what you chose!
